First, excuses…

. Phantom calf issue
. Wind
. Boxed in at start
. No warm-up
. Tight on time arriving
. Didn’t wear my usual race shoes, as was not a 'target race'
. Thursday's FULL session of 200’s
. Friday's DOMS (after a gym session)
. Slightly over-cooking Park Run, the day before.

Yet, I still came out of it with a 7s PB (previous best was 2016) - so a few years older too.

I credit this performance to Vorsprung and Vranek’s expert guidance.

I have no doubt, he knows his stuff.

I implemented a lot of Vorsprung into this run, and dare I say, there was still a fair bit in the tank.

There’s been a noticeable shift in the competence cycle in the last month! 2022 is going to be a good year, and I’m going to do it in red!

Vorsprung is not a given, it’s a two way deal.

You can lead a horse to water, but the horse then has to drink itself…

It’s a set of ingredients and a recipe, you just gotta make the cake.
