Proprioceptives: Paediatric Exercise

Looking After The Future

Proprioception is the awareness of the position and movement of ones body. One of the last things to develop.(iii)

However, it can be enhanced (with no detrimental effects to the growing process) in children with specific Vorsprung movements and exercises.

Examples of activities Vorsprung performs are: training reaction time; spatial location; and efficient movement.

Children are rarely clumsy. There is often the parental mistake of labelling children 'clumsy', when in reality it is not their fault.

However, at Vorsprung, we exercise children in such a way, that, they can develop more enhanced proprioception, ahead of their natural maturation.

There is never any excuse for labelling a child 'clumsy', when the development is in the child's and the parent's hands.
