14. Exploring: Meditation Session

Exploring Series


For many years Vorsprung has implemented meditation at the end of gym sessions, and even some track sessions.

Just as we use
stretching as a process to calm our physical being, we use meditation to turn-off and calm our inner-selves.

However, it can be hard for people to understand and execute.

At one such post-gym session, one athlete fell asleep! He argued, that, he felt so relaxed and assumed this was the process. Sleep is
not meditation! Sleep is valuable, of course,

but, meditation has to be worked-at.


Also, it is not a process, that, has to be practiced in isolation or in 'laboratory' conditions in a quiet, sterile room. Meditation is a process, that, can be conducted anywhere: in any manner. It is simply about control and calm:

controlling the inner and calming the outer.
