In the spring of 2019 The Vorsprung Project formed its now established SCV arm: an all-sports club based on the continental sports club model, that house a myriad of sporting activities under one brand / club.
SCV is designed to bring back fun to sport, to encourage people to participate in sport for health and social benefits. It strives to bring sports back to the bare essentials.
Since its inception, SCV has established weekly mid-week football invitational friendlies; played Basketball matches; Netball matches; and conducted elite track training sessions.
2021 And Beyond:
1. We aim to pioneer new ways to deliver our exercise and training programmes
in a changing world.
2. Introduce more people to holistic neuro-dynamic workshops, that, improves
performances by, as much as, 30%.
3. Promote grass-roots 5/6/7-aside football, which has proven to be more
effective, successful as well as reducing injuries in Nordic countries,
Benelux countries, Germany, France and South American countries.
4. Continue our work to coach and promote our leading middle-distance runner.
5. Continue to build-on our Annual Pre-Xmas Vorsprung Track Fundraising Run
(2019 = 10k / 2020 = 5k / 2021 = 10k)
6. Establish an Annual Track Competition (alternating each year home and
away) between SCV and London Heathside A.C.'s athletes coached by Kabir
Kemp.
7. SCV’s flagship project: 'Jumpers As Goalposts' Saturday morning 7-aside
league.
We can no longer argue with the statistics.
5/6/7-aside football at grassroots: attracts more people of both gender; lessens injuries, consequently relieving the burden on the NHS; reduces wasted time, as it can be more efficient use of peoples Saturdays; minimises cancelled games because of poor weather, which is prevalent in the 11-aside format; and increases skill levels.
